United Road Announces Haully Carrier of the Year 2021 Winners

  • United Road recognizes third-party carriers for exceptional quality and on-time vehicle delivery metrics
  • Large to small category winners include UZ Auto Trans Inc., Denver; Kolos Inc., Morton Grove, Ill., and Eco Way Transport LLC, River Grove, Ill.
  • Haully™ platform users surpass 5,000 carriers, with more than 1.6 million vehicles transported since launch

PLYMOUTH, Mich., April 4, 2022 – Mark Anderson, President, and CEO of United Road, the largest provider of finished vehicle transport logistics in North America, today announced the second annual Haully Carrier of the Year Award recipients. The award recognizes United Road's independent third-party carrier partners who have met or exceeded quality performance metrics in 2021 for on-time and damage-free delivery, platform app compliance, and revenue.

“Each of our winners is a model carrier committed to customers and upholds the highest quality standards,” Anderson said.

United Road’s ability to transport more than 4 million vehicles annually is, in part, dependent on the success of its third-party carriers, according to Anderson. “We created the Haully™ logistics platform to give our hard-working carriers 24/7 mobile access to loads and backhauls in their preferred lanes. Carriers can self-assign to loads and handle the paperwork within the platform app, including invoicing and payment. Importantly, Haully was designed by third-party carriers for third-party carriers.”

Since its September 2019 launch, Haully has become the industry’s second-largest load board. Qualified Haully users recently surpassed 5,100 and have together transported more than 1.6 million vehicles for United Road’s customers.

Recipients of the Haully Carrier of the Year Award for 2021 in three categories are:

Large

UZ Auto Trans Inc., Denver, Colorado. Jamshid Yulzhiyez founded his company in 2008 with one four-vehicle hauler. Since then, he has grown his business into a successful carhaul operation, annually transporting more than 20,000 units with his nine- and seven-vehicle haulers and 100 drivers. The company is team member-oriented, even helping some employees start their businesses.

Medium

Kolos Inc., Morton Grove, Ill. Founded by Nick Ivanus in 2011, Kolos became a Haully Pro Carrier in 2021 based on the company’s high quality and safety metrics. Ivanus said, “The carhaul industry has daily challenges such as weather, truck and driver issues, so achieving this award is a great honor.”

Small

Eco Way Transport LLC, River Grove, Ill. The carhaul company was co-founded by Milo Slezark in 2020 after he and other founders lost their jobs during the pandemic. Eco Way Transport achieved Haully Pro Carrier status in 2021. The six-person team moves 10,000 vehicles annually. Slezark said, “Although we are a newer company, every team member has many years of industry experience.”

Anderson explains, “We created Haully with three tenets in mind. First is movement—we keep our carriers moving with the highest quality and volume of vehicles available. Second, we designed Haully to be easy to use. Finally, United Road values relationships, so this tool was designed by and for our third-party partners. When Haully users succeed, United Road succeeds, and so do our valued customers.”

Carriers who achieve Haully Pro Carrier status with high quality and damage-free delivery metrics receive quarterly rebates throughout the year and additional exclusive benefits, including a dedicated United Road dispatcher.

“Digital solutions and technology are transforming the transport industry,” Anderson adds. “As a transport logistics leader, we cannot become complacent. Our Haully partners can expect the platform to become even easier to use and better in 2022.”
